Valhalla VA102 Pool Cue by Viking – Natural Maple, No Wrap
The Valhalla VA102 is a classic, clean two-piece cue engineered by Viking Cue. It shows off the natural grain of North American hard rock maple under a clear natural stain. A black joint collar and black butt sleeve contrast with the light maple, and three nickel silver rings add a bright accent. With no wrap, the butt feels smooth and natural in your hand, and the "VALHALLA by Viking" logo sits on the butt sleeve.
The shaft is North American hard rock maple with a pro taper, which gives a smooth, consistent stroke through the bridge hand. A high-impact resin ferrule and a premium leather tip give a solid hit and good cue ball control. The standard tip is 13mm, and smaller sizes from 11.75mm to 12.75mm are available as upgrades. A stainless steel 5/16 x 18 joint keeps the two pieces lined up for a stable feel.
The weight system adjusts, so you can set the cue anywhere from 18 to 21 oz to suit your stroke. A tough UV-cured urethane finish protects the maple from moisture and everyday wear. Like every Valhalla cue, the VA102 comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, including warping. What's the difference between the VA102 and VA101?
They have the same build and specs. The VA102 has a natural maple stain with a black collar and butt sleeve. The VA101 is black all over.
Who makes Valhalla cues?
Valhalla cues are designed by the engineers at Viking Cue and made as premium imports. That brings Viking's performance and design to a lower price.
What is the warranty on the VA102?
Every Valhalla cue has a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, including warping.
What weights are available?
The standard weight is 19 oz. You can also order 18, 18.5, 19.5, 20, 20.5, or 21 oz. The weight system lets you adjust it later.
What tip size does it come with?
It comes with a 13mm tip.
Does the VA102 have a wrap?
No. The wrapless butt gives a smooth, natural grip that feels the same all the way along the butt.
What joint does it use?
It uses a 5/16 x 18 joint with a stainless steel pin. Valhalla notes that some aftermarket shafts from other brands may not fit. Replacement Viking shafts are available with a 5/16 x 18 joint.
Is it a good first cue?
Yes. The classic natural maple look, adjustable weight, lifetime warranty, and moderate price make the VA102 a great first cue or an upgrade from bar and house cues.

In the unlikely event your Viking or Valhalla cue has a defect, you may contact the nearest authorized Viking dealer or Viking Cues, LLC directly at (800) 397-0122 for instructions. Your entire cue and a copy of the original receipt MUST accompany all warranty claims. The cue must be registered on our website within 60 days of purchase!

Viking Cues, LLC warrants against warpage and all components of the cue for the life of the product, but excludes replaceable parts such as the tip, ferrule, finish, wrap, and bumper. Although not specifically limited, replacement of wear parts by unqualified service personnel may void warranty.
This warranty applies to Viking cues purchased from an authorized Viking Retailer or distributor.
The warranty applies to the original owner and is non-transferable. All Viking™ cues covered by this warranty will be repaired or replaced (with the same model or one of equal value) without charge.

All claims are resolved at the discretion of Viking Cues, LLC.
This warranty is void if your cue has after-market products or if it has been subject to mishandling, abuse, or modification/repairs not performed by Viking Cues.
Viking does not warrant its cues against any damage caused by third parties.
Cues built with joint changes and standard, available options are covered under this warranty.

Shafts under 11.75mm are not covered.
Unless reported within the first 30 days after purchase, shipment of product to Viking Cues for warranty consideration is the responsibility of the purchaser. In the continental United States, return shipping charges are covered by Viking Cue®. For addresses outside of the continental United States, Viking will ONLY cover a portion of the return shipping charges. Viking does not cover any additional customs/duty fees.
